I Promise....

....Not to rant, rave, or depress with this post today. Today I promise to be uplifting, fun, and possibly even encouraging. Even though I've stated that I'm going down this "dark road" and that I've been a bit aggravated doesn't mean that my whole being is gloomy and melancholy. No actually, I try not to focus on those issues all day, and most of the time I enjoy myself. So here's to a good day!

First, interesting news for blog fans out there. 2 bloggers listed under my links, Shana and Robert, will be having an all-out blog war. No date has been scheduled, but it should be coming to a blog near you in the upcoming days or week. They will be taking questions from and moderated by the original ninetyandnine.com blogger Wendy. Shana and Robert will be tackling this subjects from the female and male perspective and giving us all some insight into the minds of the opposite sex.

Secondly, my good friend Sunshine should be popping out a baby any day now. We're all anxiously awaiting contractions. This baby is probably the closet I will have to a niece any time soon, so I'm ready to assume my role as Aunt Kim!!

American Idol has some very promising talent this year. I'm a big fan of the male singers this year. The girls just aren't wowing me this time around. I must admit there may be 2 girls that have my votes, Paris and Kellie, but the rest of the girls can go on home. Now the boys, on the other hand, are going to be extremely hard to choose from. Ace...Oh my word, something about him is so unbelievably sexy when he sings...**sigh**. Then there is the southern rock guy, Chris, who is just great, and the young, innocent crooners -- David, Kevin and Will. Then there are the two very un-idol like yet wonderful singers -- Elliott and Taylor.

Also, I've had several date offers for this weekend. Unfortunately, they've all been from students! At least the offers have improved a bit this week. It was just to go to McDonald's or Burger King. Then I got offered Shoney's. Today it's been to go see the newest Tyler Perry Movie, Family Reunion. Guess I'll just have to take myself out, otherwise I'll be heading out in handcuffs!

Until next time....Have a GREAT weekend!

Hilarious. One of the things about being a young teacher . . . on my way out the door of the middle school a couple of 8th grade boys daily declare that they're going home with me, to which I respond with silence and an eyeroll. (Anything more would probably be considered encouragement. lol)
